Who We Are

About Faber Wood OÜ

Crafting luxury solid wood creations and managing premium timber supplies from Tartu, Estonia.

Our Journey

Rooted in Estonian Timber Traditions

Faber Wood OÜ was established with a singular vision: to translate the raw natural beauty of Estonian forests into stunning, functional architectural pieces. Located in the cultural and academic city of Tartu, our workshop integrates the historical wood-crafting traditions of the Baltic region with advanced European processing technologies.

Our name represents structural strength and artistic intent. We construct bespoke, high-end solid wood tables, cabinets, and premium claddings that act as centerpieces in modern apartments, luxury corporate boardrooms, and boutique hotels.

Beyond manufacturing bespoke furniture, we act as a major lumber supplier for building contractors throughout Europe. We export structural construction timber, tongue-and-groove cladding boards, and engineered timber with consistent structural grades.

Our Values

Zero Compromise on Sustainability

We believe wood is a renewable gift, and it is our absolute duty to respect the cycle of the forest.

Sourcing with Responsibility

All lumber processed in our Tartu workshop carries **FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)** or **PEFC** certifications. We coordinate directly with Estonian and Nordic state forest management organizations to verify that every tree felled is offset by natural re-growth and planned planting campaigns.

By ensuring that raw materials are harvested locally, we minimize carbon emissions related to transportation and support rural Baltic forestry communities.

Why Architects and Builders Partner With Us:

  • **100% Traceability**: Full document records proving legal, certified forest harvesting.
  • **Low Moisture Tolerances**: Advanced kiln dryers guarantee moisture is locked between 8-12% for interior wood.
  • **Non-Toxic finishes**: Natural plant oils and beeswax finishes that emit zero VOCs.
Our Materials

Estonian & European Hardwoods

The lifespan of our furniture relies on wood selections. We utilize five main wood species, each matching distinct structural demands.

1. European Oak (Tamm)

Known for its exceptional hardness, rich density, and striking golden-brown hues. Oak is our primary choice for heavy dining tables, boardrooms, and premium floorings that must withstand heavy traffic.

2. American Black Walnut

Breathtaking dark chocolate hues paired with swirling natural grain patterns. Walnut provides a warm, luxury feel, making it the perfect choice for high-end custom cabinetry and accent furniture.

3. White Ash (Saar)

Remarkably resilient, flexible, and light-toned. Ash features pronounced grain structures and handles impact with ease. Ideal for contemporary chairs, drawers, and active worktops.

4. Nordic Pine & Spruce

Lightweight, resin-rich, and durable. Sourced from cold Baltic forests, our pine and spruce timber are kiln-dried and optimized for structural construction lumber and wall claddings.
